Why did we make O3?

Puori O3 was the first product – our hero. Our founders created the product because every time they bought fish oil, they experienced nasty fish burps, which they learned was due to the fact that the oil was rancid. They couldn’t trust other products were clean and fresh because they had no 3rd party certifications, so our founders started producing O3 fish oil and getting it certified.

The raw fish oil is sourced from wild caught anchovies in the Pacific Ocean. Our fish is caught with FOS certified fishing methods, securing by-catch, environmental and sustainability ethics.

The anchovies used are wild caught and the plant processing the oil is located right off shore, which allows for a quick processing time and secures a fresher end-product.

IFOS test each batch for environmental contaminants, including heavy metals, PCBs, dioxins, furans and dioxin-like PCBs. These accumulate in fat, and oil derived from fish may therefore contain these contaminants that may have negative health effects. IFOS also measures oxidation and rancidity to ensure that the fish oil is stable and fresh for consumption.

In our search for a refreshing alternative to sugar loaded and highly -caffeinated drinks, it was only natural that we made Puori C3 with vitamin C from berries and rosehip. To enhance its punch, we added mineral ascorbates, which means that Puori C3 provides the benefits of zinc, too. Each sip of C3 supports immune function while combatting fatigue and tiredness.

We add medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) from coconuts, which are very stable. Mixing fish oil with MCT is an innovative, safe and natural way of preventing oxidation in a liquid fish oil.

O3

The raw fish oil is sourced from wild caught anchovies in the Pacific Ocean sustainable caught and certified by FOS (Friend of the sea).

The wild caught anchovies are caught and quickly processed at the harbor, which allows for a quick processing time and thereby secures a fresher oil.

M3

The minerals in M3 are sourced from seawater and subsoil rich in these specific minerals. The minerals are extracted, purified and mixed together.

In M3 we use two types of chelated magnesium forms. Chelated types of magnesium are shown to have better absorption in the body compared to in-organic forms such as magnesium oxide.

In addition, vitamin B6 and malic acid are added to increase mineral absorption from the gut and into the cells. Zinc is further added for full synergistic effects of the complex.

D3

The vitamin D in Puori D3 is extracted from lanolin, a natural component of sheep’s wool. The wool is gently sheared from the sheep, without harming the animal, and undergoes a purification and cleaning process. UV light on the wool makes forms the active vitamin D, comparable to how sunlight on our skin. Afterwards, the vitamin D is mixed with organic virgin coconut oil.

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin and combing it with organic coconut oil improves the absorption process as vitamin D needs fats for its uptake.
